Since more and more applications had showed up with the large number of using of mobile phones, the habits of the users using the applications had become more widespread and more general.
Therefore, how would the consumers choose to download the applications since there are so many of them now on the market?
According to the data (1), most applications the users in Taiwan and in U.S.A had downloaded are games, communications soft wares and the retouching soft wares, especially the games. Through this, we can see that the needs of applications are mostly based on entertainment, which are easy to kill time in the mobile phone application market.
Also, we can see that in both country, the top ten applications are all for free.
The difference between the consumers in Taiwan and U.S.A is that in Taiwan, consumers would focus on the communication soft wares, since even though there are some game applications are in the top ten list, as far as I concerned that most people downloaded it to get the stickers so that they can post it when they use the communication applications. Unlike Taiwan, they don’t have this kind of applications in U.S.A, so what they had downloaded is what they really wanted.
